It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

This is the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a team that has won it all.

The fact it required up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It is hard for their hitters to hold a record if not provided the possibility.

Finally, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting a chance to deliver her newest gem.

Then best known as the teenage relative of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup came three months after her bow and seven global championships have come from 10 tries across formats.

That loss "motivated us to rethink our standards," Healy stated recently.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the championship match and was awarded tournament MVP. She ensured her country would not come up short.

Whether this latest epic knock topped that previous effort is debatable.

Some will argue the case for final game tension. Some might respond with the test that comes when facing a record target and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was considerably tougher to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 occurred when she led the batting statistics, but this innings came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've observed me in practice sessions, it's been a challenging time because it seemed my form was missing completely," stated Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your fighting spirit activate and you completely engage with the competition."

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her major advantage - and an invaluable trait in replacing iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in each encounter, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

A single came off the opening delivery and after that the right-hander was on her way.

"A chance to go out there and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her quickest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

By the time she was removed her side required another 66 at one run per ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the belief to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, if we do, we know we can succeed."

These statements will be the last competing nations at this World Cup need to hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this victory following win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from the prior year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated despite the injury.
